I recently came home from work this afternoon. I went in early, so it was a four a.m. wake-up for me, which is never the most fun thing to do. I went in early because we have extra production at the bakery for independence day. I would have to say that it was not very busy today, which was a bit odd.
The best part of the day was that the sole of my shoe started coming off, which totally sucks. I fixed the situation by wrapping a rubber band around my shoe. My shoe was then classified as a hobo shoe. I guess that means that I need to either get them fixed, because they are nice red wings, or get new ones.
I use to have a thing for buying new shoes constantly, but nowadays I don’t really care for getting new shoes all that much. I guess that’s what happens when you have to pay a mortgage and bills. I prefer it the way it is now, don’t get me wrong. Having a house rules.
I just pizzazzed a pizza, so I thing I am going to handle that situation now. Sausage pizza with Chalula and parmesan. Gotta love it!
I will go now. Sausage pizza to face time.
A nice short tune.
This is my try at the whole blogging thing. I know, i know… I am about 10 years late on this trend. Before I get to far into things, let me give you a little background.
I was born into a wonderful family. I am the seventh born in a family of eleven, and love it! My parents, Michael and Linda, have five sons and six daughters. There was never a dull moment growing up in any of our households. I have lived in the suburbs of Chicago most of my life, besides a couple of years in the New England area, and six months in Orlando. (That’s right, I worked for Disney.)
About two and a half years ago I had the greatest day of my life. I married my beautiful wife Jennine. She is absolutely wonderful, and she puts up with me, so there’s some bonus points there. We now live in Aurora, IL with our two dogs, Maggie and Butters. No kids yet, but there is a good possibility on that sometime in the next year or so.
My hobbies consist of four main items. Family, food, music, and sports. The family part goes without saying. Everything I do usually involves part of the family. Whether it be playing music, cooking, going out, vacationing, etc… it usually has something to do with my immediate family or my in-laws, who are wonderful people, too. I have turned into a dog lover over the last 5 years or so, so those two are getting put into this category. We have two Italian greyhounds. As mentioned before, their names are Maggie and Butters. You can thank Jennine for that.
As far as food goes, I simply love to cook, bake, and create. I went to school for a culinary and pastry degree. I have those, but I use them mostly for personal satisfaction right now. I do not work directly in the field at the moment, but I am fine with that. Hopefully in the future, but I want to do it on my own terms. I love cooking and baking for others. I would have to say, I am darn good at the pastry side of it. My wife, family members, and coworkers would agree.
I have been involved in music since I was around 10. I started with trying out the piano. I quit way to early, my parents were right. I went on to some super nerdy instruments like the clarinet, bass clarinet, and the tuba. (I still want one of my own.) I started playing the guitar when I was in the sixth or seventh grade, and still play it. I played the bass for about three to four years, too. I performed in countless school concerts, high school jazz bands and musicals, marching band, community college concerts and public guitar circles, a traveling percussion group, and 6 years in a metal band with three of my siblings, which was a blast.
My bigger music hobby is listening. I like a lot of it, and listen to it as much as possible. I will refrain from blowing your mind with my vast collection and tastes in music (joking), but I will tell you that it is a lot more than Sousa marches and heavy metal.
As far as sports go, I am mostly a spectator now. I do enjoy the occasional athletic competition, but I like to leave it to the pros. NBA, MLB, and NFL. Those are my favorites in order. I am a die-hard Bulls, White Sox, and Bears fan. I know watching and reading about sports is kind of lame, but give me a break. I am a male age 18-30. It is required.

Anyway, that is a little bit about me. I’m sure I will add more later, because I think that’s what you do on a blog. Until next time, bye.
